School Hours:  The school day for middle school students will be 7:30 a.m. – 2:22 p.m.  Upon arrival, students will report to their Homeroom.  Students eating breakfast will go first to the cafeteria then to Homeroom.  All students should be in Homeroom by 7:30 a.m.  Students will be permitted to enter the building in the morning at 7:05 a.m. and should exit the building at the end of the school day by 2:50 p.m., unless they are participating in scheduled after-school activities.

Lockers:  Lockers will be provided to all middle school students.

iPads: 6th grade students will receive iPads on the first day of school.  Students  in grades 7 and 8 should bring their charged iPads with them the first day of school.

Supplies:  Click Here for the Middle School Supply List

Transportation: The district transportation department will notify families of bus routes, pick up/drop off times, and bus stop information for each student.  For the first week, parents and students should expect delays in pick up and drop off times—as much as 30 minutes—due to students and bus drivers learning new routes and stops.  Students should plan to arrive early to the bus stop and wait patiently as everyone adjusts to the new routine.  Students being driven to school should enter the campus from Leitersburg Street and follow the traffic pattern to the student drop off behind the middle school.

Food Service: The Greencastle-Antrim School District operates in accordance with the regulations of the National School Lunch Program and is under the supervision of Mrs. Nancy K. Foust, Director of Food Services.  Meal prices for the 2022-2023 school year are as follows:

Middle school lunch will cost $2.80; reduced lunch price is $0.40
Middle School breakfast will cost $1.65; reduced breakfast price is $0.30
Milk will be $0.50/carton

For more information about the student lunch program, School Café accounts, menus, or to apply for free/reduced meals visit www.gcasd.org and navigate to Food Service Department on the District menu.  Households without access to a computer should contact the Food Service office at 717-597-3226, ext. 50505, for more information.

As summer quickly winds down, the faculty and staff of the Greencastle-Antrim School District look forward to the 2022-2023 school year.  Local residents are reminded to slow down as they travel area roads and look out for students and school buses. We are G-A Proud!
