Welcome to GAMS Science Department

Science in the middle school is a three-year journey covering topics based on Pennsylvania's Science, Technology & Engineering, Environmental Literacy & Sustainability (STEELS) Standards. The STEELS standards are designed to engage students through inquiry, problem-solving, critical thinking, and authentic experiences as they study the natural and man-made world. Each grade level will concentrate on a major branch of study: 6th grade - Earth & Space Science; 7th grade - Life Science; and 8th grade - Physical Science. Upon completing the middle school Science program, students will have the skills and basic knowledge necessary to succeed in advanced Science courses.
